Retired Navy Seal, Jim Schombs

For immediate release - Fort Myers, January 31st

Jim Schombs, a retired Navy Seal from Cape Coral, has received a customized trike (motorcycle with one front wheel and two rear wheels) which enables him to do what he loves most: Riding a motorcycle! Since a stroke 18 years ago, the former Navy Seal lost control over most of his left side of the body, including his left leg and hand. Those circumstances made it impossible for him to shift gears on a motorcycle or trike. "After my stroke, I was unfortunately not able to get back on a bike. It was pretty hard for me because riding my bike was a true passion of mine" says the 55-year-old Veteran.

When Haus of Trikes & Bikes in Fort Myers had its Grand Opening of their new store back in March 2018, Jim walked in, browsing around the inventory. Mike Tinneny, a sales consultant at Haus of Trikes & Bikes, noticed Jim Schombs and got into a conversation with him. He heard Jim's story and how he missed riding his bike. The experienced motorcycle salesman knew that the Veteran's disabilities were a huge obstacle, even to ride a trike. Nevertheless, he told Jim that he would brainstorm with the technicians to see if they would be able to come up with a solution.

Fort Myers mainstay Haus of Trikes and Bikes to expand showroom and service center to over 30,000 square feet.

For immediate release - Fort Myers, August 25th, 2017

Fort Myers-based Haus of Trikes and Bikes has released plans to expand its facility to nearly 30,000 square feet into the adjacent building. Their current facility on 4601 Fowler Street has been serving local bikers for 18 years, selling new/used motorcycles and trikes as well as providing repairs and rentals.

Owners Manfred Glanzner and Herbert Baum have acquired the former MICHIGAN HOMES office building and adjacent warehouses next to their current location and plan to open the newly renovated facility in October of 2017. The plans will expand the showroom from 5,000 to over 30,000 square feet making it one of the biggest motorcycle-and-trike-showroom in Southwest Florida. "We felt that it was time for us to expand after so many years. The increasing demand for trikes, bikes, rentals, and services for the last decade made it an easy decision for us to grow our infrastructure. "We saw the opportunity with the warehouse next door and decided to go for it!" says owner Manfred Glanzner.

The service area will grow to 4,000 square feet, servicing all V-Twins such as Harley Davidson, Victory, and Indian bikes as well as all other metric brands. The state-of-the-art two-story facility will always showcase over 200 bikes and trike

This expansion comes promptly as owner Herbert Baum explains " Over the years we have outgrown the existing facility and besides the fact that we are Florida’s largest Trike Dealer, we also have recently become an officially authorized retailer for Royal Enfield - the only one in Southwest Florida. This and the fact that we are working on inquiring other interesting Motorcycle brands for the Ft. Myers area, deserves a brand new, modern facility."

Established in 1893, Royal Enfield is the oldest motorcycle brand in the world still in production, with the Bullet model enjoying the longest motorcycle production run of all time. Royal Enfield sold over 600,000 motorcycles worldwide in 2016.

The Grand Opening is planned for this Fall and will include live music, food, and specials. For more information visit www.hausoftrikesandbikes.com.

Manfred Glanzner, owner of Haus of Trikes & Bikes adds: "I am very proud of our team. We were able to think out of the box and provide a trike which I believe will make Jim very happy. Giving back to a Veteran who served our country for over 20 years, is the least we can do."

"It means the world to me to be able to ride again and I thank the people at Haus of Trikes & Bikes who made it possible," says Jim Schombs in a final statement.
